When I was just 8 years of age I remember seeing the John Wayne movie "Hatari" and from that point on, I was hooked on Africa. Many years passed, but finally in March 2009 and May 2011 I was able to turn a childhood dream into a reality with Cruiser Safaris. After these two trips I believe Cruiser Safaris should be anyone’s only true choice as an Safari destination.

In my endeavor to find a safari company, I turned my efforts to the internet and found Cruiser Safaris' web page. Cruisers' web page was a tremendous source of information. I then e-mailed six references and all six answered me back within one week. It was as if the references could not wait to tell someone about their trip, and a few gave me their phone numbers to call.

My next step was to call Bob Clark, (the booking agent for Cruisers) and talk to him personally. I found Bob to be one of the friendliest, patient, and professional people that I have ever talked with. Even after several phone calls, Bob was just as cordial on the last call as he was on the first. After talking with Bob and hearing from references, I was sold. Cruiser Safaris was for me.

On each safari, (upon arriving at the lodge) I found everything to be exactly as pictured on Cruiser's web page. What you see is what you get. Pieter Lamprecht (the owner) is very professional and runs an excellent business. DelMarie (the cook) is simply unbelievable. All of the safari vehicles are kept in top condition. The laundry and maid service is outstanding. All of the PH's are top notch and will give you a trip of a lifetime.

My guide for both trips was Hans. Hans is a wonderful person and his love of his profession was shown by the bright smile that greeted me at the start of each day. His skills and abilities are unsurpassed. He is the reason that I will be booking a third safari in 2013 or 2014. Hans is "THE MAN".

I just can't say enough about all the people with Cruiser Safaris. It is simply amazing that two ten day trips with these people can change someone's life, but it truly can. The bonds and the friendships that you will make at Cruiser Safaris will remain with you the rest of your life. From the first day, you can tell that relationships will be kindled and savored for not only your remaining days in camp, but forever. How can someone state in a few words how grateful they are for the precious time spent with someone else. Saying the words "Thank You" just seems too petty. The memories that all of you have given me will never die. I would like to say "Thank You", and I will return.
